| What a great night of racing on July 1st!!! The weather was perfect, the track was awesome, and the fireworks were spectacular! Thanks to everyone that came out for our 1st Annual Westport 4th of July Nationals. A special thanks to the Villard Fire Department, 10 Mile Tavern and a couple individual families that helped sponsor the special event. A big THANK YOU to Matt Ogdahl for putting on an awesome fireworks show!!! We hope to see everyone on Wednesday, July 8th for our next race. Pits will open at 5:00, draw cut off at 6:30 with the races starting at 7:00. Results from July 1st have been posted and points will be updated soon. News Updates: Don't see your class in our program. Bring 4 karts and we will run your class. If possible, please give us a call so we know you are planning to come to our track. It is your responsibility to call your fellow racers and get your group together before coming to our track. Reminder to All Drivers: All karts are required to have a muffler and a full body kit. No Large Sprint Car Type or Adjustable Wings allowed in the regular classes, these wings are only allowed in the Winged Open Outlaw Class. Make sure your kart has an easy to read number displayed on each side. Karts are also to have a number displayed on the front and back. Schedule Change: Please make note that we will NOT be racing on Friday, August 21st as originally posted on our schedule. Due to unforeseen circumstances the date for our Money Race will need to be changed. The new date will be decided on very soon. IKF Junior I Cageless Class: We will continue running this class but the weight will be changed to 270 lbs. This keeps our rules the same as other area tracks are for the IKF Junior I Heavy class. We have a couple karts interested in running the IKF Junior II cageless class. If we could get a couple more karts for this class we would look at adding them to our program. Click Here for 2009 Schedule Click Here for 2009 Rule Updates  Minnewaska Area Go-Kart Racing Association MAGKRA moved to a new location in 2007 and built an approximate 1/8 mile, slightly banked, clay, oval go-kart track in Westport. The track is located 10 miles west of Sauk Centre, on the north side of Hwy. 28. Tailgate parking is located at the north and south sides of the track. There is no charge to watch the races from the tailgate area. If you want to enter any other areas of the facility you must purchase a $5 pit pass. All ages are welcome in our pit area.
